paypal for power player

Postby Ms_Wednesday on Sat Oct 03, 2009 10:49 am

do I really need to have a CC to upgrade into a power player? I have paypal account and has been verified it once. been withdrawing money lots of money from paypal to Philippine bank. and when I try to upgrade into power player there is a link for paypal payment but they don't allow payment which is not connected to any legitimate card.

my paypal still have tons of money from my freelance work I never shop online that's why I don't ever encounter card problems and the likes. there is a skip link on the payment form when I was ask to connect a card. but nothing happens.

and one more I would never plan to to open a credit card ... ever.

btw I tried my ATM as it states there that it is a debit card.. but didn't work

I use paypal for my power player. And you will need to have some sort of card for it. I use my bank card which I added to paypal. So it is possible that you typed in the card information wrong when you added your bank card to your paypal account. My guess is to go back and double check your paypal account and see if everything is accurate.

A bank card is your atm debit card. Im sorry, wrong choice of words. but it doesnt connect to your card? That is really weird. I dont know why it wouldnt work. You should be able to add that card to your paypal account. Uhmm if you arent able to get your card onto paypal, I suggest using the contact us link through paypal. They are normally pretty helpful about this kind of stuff. Also, if its possible, I dont know where your from, you can get like a visa pre-paid credit card at some stores and you can put that card onto your paypal account and see if that works.

I think you need to check your account if it's ok for online banking. I have tried once an able to register into paypal, same with you i never shop online and when i try to buy PP it can't be done because my bank doesn't support online banking. Try checking your account if its online. By the way, is your card from Philippines? It was weird because it says my card doesn't support online banking but I was able to book a hotel online in the Philippines. SO my guess is that cards from Philippines can purchase online within Philippines but if it goes International it won't allow unless you will register your account i your bank to avail online banking.

If that won't solve, I'll think about more reasons why you can't.

Well, I'm also using Paypal to pay for items on the internet but unfortunately here in our country, Philippines, out of all the banks available here there is only one bank that is recognized by Paypal and that bank is UnionBank.

If you want to attach a debit card for your Paypal, your best bet is to use UnionBank Eon Card which is the widely used account that Filipinos use to be able to confirm their Paypal Accounts.

UnionBank is a debit card similar to BDO Debit Card or the BPI Savings account, which can also be used for swiping.
